Tyranny Of Dragons:
Vola's Campsite Companions
Adran Liadon
My next chat was with our other puny Wood-Elf, our Ranger, Adran.
Adran is much younger than Draoc at only 234 years of age. He stands 5’8” tall and weighs a mere 9 stones (125 pounds). He is rustic in appearance, and has an excellent humor. He tends to be the most laid back of the group – often being distracted from the events at hand.
Although Adran often appears inattentive and indecisive, once he comes to the party, he can be devastating in dealing damage to our foes. He is an ace archer, and has more arrows in his backpack than food!
His parents are not known to him, but he was raised by his grandfather. All throughout his “young” life, he was reared and trained to be both a skilled farmer and keen huntsman.
He travels with us because he was born and raised in Greenest. And although his grandfather is still alive, and still tending to the family farm, our brave little Ranger felt it necessary to leave home in order track down the blue dragon which attacked their village. He wants to find the source, and eliminate it from our realms in order to keep others from suffering the losses and pain that his fellow townspeople endured during that attack and the raids that went along with it.
He says that his greatest thrills with us thus far were the battles with the Roper and Perytons. He almost died in the battle with the Roper! And he helped skewer the Perytons that came at us on the way to Waterdeep.
I think what I admire about him most is his willingness to keep growing in his knowledge and skills, and his openness about where he falls short. The one thing this brave little Wood-Elf readily admits to is that he still has lots he wants and needs to learn in order to be of more value to his comrades and his village.
